Sumerduck is a rural community of farmhouses and acreage properties, and the holiday displays here look the part. Instead of a tight row of tract houses, you get farmhouse rooflines and gable peaks, front porches, mature trees worth wrapping, and long frontage and fence-line runs that stretch across open land. That open country setting is beautiful to light, and on exposed lots it means wind becomes the one thing worth planning around, especially on tree wrap and long frontage runs. That is exactly what our season-long monitoring is built to catch and fix.
This band also tends to run colder with earlier cold snaps, so we plan installs for an earlier completion, often into November, to get your display up and secure ahead of the weather. We handle the whole thing start to finish: design, the professional-grade lights we supply, installation, in-season monitoring, end-of-season takedown, and climate-controlled storage.

We supply our own professional-grade lights and design each display around the home, from farmhouse rooflines and peaks down to the trees, bushes, and railings.
We run C9 lights along rooflines, gutter lines, fascia board peaks, and larger trees. They are our workhorse bulb for the clean, even lines that define the front of a home, and they suit the farmhouse gable peaks and long rooflines you see across Sumerduck.
We use mini lights on bushes, railings, and smaller trees and features, where a finer, denser light reads better than the larger C9 bulb.
Net lights lay evenly over bushes and shrubs for full, uniform coverage, no hand-wrapping of every branch required.
We wrap mature trees to carry the display out across the property, so the light reaches well beyond the house and the whole yard becomes part of the scene.
Warm white is the most-requested color and our most popular finish. We also offer cool white, red, green, blue, purple, orange, and multicolor.
For safety reasons, some rooflines aren’t suitable for direct installation. In those cases we focus on gutter lines and other secure mounting points to get you a beautiful, safe result.
Nearly all of our Sumerduck work is residential, a complete done-for-you holiday display from the first design visit through takedown and storage. The homeowner picks the look; we handle everything else.
Here is what the full white-glove package includes on a home:
Booking runs heaviest in September and October, with installs going up through November and into December. Because so many properties here sit on open acreage, a full display usually reaches past the house to the frontage and the trees, giving us more ground to work with than a typical in-town home.
We also install permanent exterior lighting for homeowners who want a year-round, always-ready option beyond the seasonal display. That is priced as a custom quote and varies by project, so it is a great fit once you know you want your home lit every night of the year.
A few things come up again and again in what our clients tell us. They are the standards we hold on every display.
We handle everything, start to finish: an in-person design consultation, professional installation, in-season monitoring, end-of-season takedown, and climate-controlled storage of your lights until next year. It’s a true white-glove, full-package holiday lighting experience for Sumerduck homes.
We supply our own professional-grade lights, sourced through Christmas Decor, noticeably higher quality than anything you’d buy in a store. You can see the difference the moment they’re lit.
Our team is trained and certified by Christmas Decor, with hundreds of professional lighting projects behind us. That training shows in every clean, safe, beautifully finished install.
At the end of the season we take everything down and store your lights in a climate-controlled room, so they’re protected from heat and cold and come back at full strength next year, instead of getting ruined in a garage or attic.
We’re fully licensed and insured, so your home and your holidays are in careful, protected hands from the first ladder to the last light.
We go out of our way to make sure you don’t just get lights, you get the Christmas joy that comes with them. Our goal is for every client to feel great about the whole process, from design to the moment we turn the lights on.
Holiday Lighting Today
From your first call to next year’s storage, here’s how a full display comes together.
Call or contact us, and we talk through the process and set up an in-person estimate. We aim to respond to inquiries within about an hour.
We visit the property, get your input, and design a custom lighting plan and game plan for the home, the trees, and the frontage.
We send an estimate with pictures showing the lights on your home for approval. You can tweak the design however you’d like before anything goes up.
Once you approve, we book your installation. Our crew puts the display up with professional-grade C9, mini, and net lights, working from ladders and safety harnesses, then turns the lights on with you at the walk-around. On Sumerduck’s wind-exposed open lots, we take extra care securing tree wrap and long frontage runs so the display holds through the season.
Throughout the holidays we keep watch on your display, and we come back out to set things right if a string fails or the weather loosens a line.
At the end of the season we take everything down and store your lights in our climate-controlled room, ready for next year.
Every display is priced per project after an in-person design consultation, based mainly on the linear footage of C9 line, with trees, bushes, and larger trees factored in. The estimate is free and comes back with lights-on pictures.
Discounts we offer:
Two promises stand behind every display we put up.
1
If a light or string goes out during the holiday season, we’ll come back and fix or replace it, that’s part of our full-package, white-glove service. We monitor displays through the season, including lines dislodged by wind or storms.
2
If you’re not completely happy, we’ll come back, usually the next day, and make it right until you’re 100% satisfied.
Sumerduck is a place of farms and open land, and we treat every property here like it’s on our own road. We’re locally owned, and we care how the whole area looks lit up for the holidays. As part of that commitment, we donate 2% of our profit to charity.
You’ll find us around the spots that anchor the community:
You’ll see our lights on homes tucked all across the countryside here, wherever families want their place to shine for the season.
